Hands-free automated recording and playback for your practise sessions. Ideal for practising a musical instrument, singing, rehearsing a speech or learning a foreign language. One of the most important things to do when practising music is to listen to yourself play. When you're playing an instrument or singing, it's difficult to listen clearly to what you're doing, partly because your attention is focussed on your technique, and partly because the sound you make is picked up through your body as well as through your ears. That's why it's critically important to be able to record your playing and listen to the recording. While you're practising, though, it takes time and effort to get into a groove - to focus your entire attention on the sound you are producing and the feel of your instrument in your hands, or of your voice. Once you recede completely into your music and become oblivious to the outside world, you're able to work at your best. The last thing you want to do once you've reached this state is to break your concentration, disconnect from what you were doing, walk across the room and fiddle with your recording equipment. Acoustic Mirror runs in the background. While you play a phrase or a section of music, it records your playing. When you stop, it automatically plays back what was just recorded. Acoustic Mirror can ignore background noise and speaking voices, so you can leave the app running throughout a rehearsal or lesson. Play, listen, improve your conception and repeat. (You'll need an external microphone to use this app on an iPod touch 3rd generation or older.)
